Structure for Healing and Freedom
"If God doesn't build the house, the builders only build shacks." Psalm 127:1 MSG
Two important concepts to consider: essence and structure. Essence is the core nature, design, or life force of a person. Our spirit is our essence, and our essence comes from God. Structure is the ecosystem, home, environment, or platform that allows the spirit of a person to flow with the life of God. Think about God creating a garden in Eden before He put the man in it. When you first start investing in someone, start with recognizing the spirit of a person needs a structure to live and thrive.

Build a structure for a person to thrive
In the diagram above, the structure for healing and freedom contains these components:
-
The nature and character of God is always the foundation for any house God builds. Learn more
-
The nature and character of the prayer minister is part of the foundation a person can rely on to help them live and thrive. Learn more
-
Principles are the building blocks by which we heal and build. The first principle, the principle of Design, gives us a deep conviction that this person we are trying to help is created by God with His nature in them and has everything they need in their divine nature for life and godliness. -
Resources are the tools and skills we use. The person we are helping can discover and build their own resources so that they can bring healing and freedom to their lives. We define freedom as being able to do what God has called us to do. Learn more

Part of the structure needed to live and thrive are processes. Think of processes as maps to help us get from here to there.
