Our Nature is Light

We came from another world. Consider a wooden stick and a light tube. Wood is of the earth; it is a natural thing. A light tube is not natural; it has a different origin because it is manmade.  Put a wooden stick in the mud and the mud will penetrate into the stick, and the stick will never be as clean as it was before it soaked in the mud. If you put a light tube in the mud, the mud might cover it and prevent the light from shining forth, but the mud cannot penetrate it. You can take the light tube out of the mud and quickly wash it clean so that it is as though it was never in the mud. Then the true nature of the light tube can be seen as it gives off light.

Just as a light tube differs from a wooden stick in its origin and nature, so do you and I differ from not-yet believers in our origin and nature. We can easily forgive a not-yet believer and not judge them when they sin because we realize they don't have within them the nature of their loving Father God. Sin has penetrated deeply into their spirits. But as children of light, we know we have the nature of our Father God because we come from Him. In our actions and words, we might sin just as badly as the not-yet believer, but these actions and words are not who we really are. They merely suppress who we really are. Our spirits came from heaven, from God, and are the light and love of God. That essence of light cannot be overcome by our actions and words.
